8th Grade Promotion Participation Guidelines
With the end of the first grading period, we will begin our notification to eighth grade parents of students who may be in jeopardy of meeting eligibility requirements for promotion. Letters will go out to parents of these students the week of December 9th. Some changes have been made to the expectations for this year. Newsletter Now Available

Exclusion day for state-required vaccinations is Wednesday, February 19. Students who are not current by this date will not be allowed to attend school until their records are complete. Please obtain needed vaccinations so that your child can remain in school. A clinic is available to provide the required immunizations for school attendance at Rosa Parks School, 8960 N. Woolsey, Portland, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on December 18, 2013.
Giving Tree at West Orient
Each year the Orient community has a tradition of giving and sharing through our WOMS Giving Tree. This year, gift tags will be available on our Giving Tree in the lobby by our gym beginning November 25-27 during our parent conferences. After conferences, the tags will be available in our main lobby. If you would like to help our families in need of assistance this holiday season, please come by and check the Giving Tree. Deliver wrapped gifts to the office by Friday, December 13. Thank you in advance for your generosity to our West Orient families.
